Bauhaus Museum Dessau  
Competition Entry
The ground floor comprised of visitors’ services and the museum education – areas requiring high ceilings, nevertheless the delivery hall, and the cafeteria having standard-height ceilings. There are two main entrances – in the west (at the parking lot) and one in the east (at the mall’s exit). Thus, the foyer has a passage for visitors also the ground floor is kept in touch to the surrounding park by using a few open air platforms. Around the building decorative recirculation water ponds are located in order to improve the microclimate of the area outside the museum, as well as the entire park space. All in all, the ground floor is equally a part of the museum and a part of the park space. It is the future cultural and touristic idea of the park and the city.
