"RosAtom" Pavilion on VDNH, Moscow. Competition entry.
Nikita Tyukov.
The architectural idea of the pavilion is creating a visual interpretation of atomic structure and
chain connection between the atoms. The feeling of being inside the atomic structure. The
allegory of achieving the ability to disintegrate an atom (getting inside its structure).
The entire pavilion of the atomic section resembles a consecutive chain reaction.
1. A replica of an atom inside a transparent spherical dome. The atom replica is the signature
element of the main façade; it is clearly seen from the main alley of the Exhibition of Economic
Achievements (VDNKh). The replica can be also seen from various points inside the complex.
2. Neuromatrix is a “Well-Developed Atomic Structure” integrated into the central atrium of the
complex. The Neuromatrix is linked to separate sections, as well as main areas of the complex.
3. Exhibition halls are located around the atrium, allowing creating various scenarios of attending
the complex.
4. Media façade is the subsequent element of the chain reaction that shows the content generated
by the neuromatrix.
